Oliver Rawashdeh

Dr. Oliver Rawashdeh studied biology at the Yarmouk University in Jordan from 1998-2002 and received his doctorate in 2007 on the subject of "Circadian Modulation of Memory Processes" from the University of Houston (USA). After research stays at the Northwestern University (USA) and State University of New York (USA), he joined the Goethe University of Frankfurt (DE) in 2010 as a Lecturer in Neuroanatomy and Chronobiology. Since 2015 Dr. Rawashdeh leads the Chronobiology and Sleep Research Group at the University of Queensland (AUS). His field of research covers the role of circadian clocks in health and disease with a focus on the nervous system, specifically the sleep circuitry, circadian network stability and neurodegeneration. He serves as a Review Editor for multiple journals and is an executive member of the Australasian Chronobiology Society.
